Caracas, Venezuela.- The recognition of the most outstanding specialists in this field in the recent work phase marked the celebration of the Day of the Cuban Economist and Accountant in Venezuela.
In a certificate dedicated to Commanders Fidel Castro and Ernesto Guevara, several members of the Economic Directorate of the Medical Mission of Cuba were awarded the Golden Seal and the Seal of April 16 for their contribution to Antillean cooperation in the countries of Morocha.
Daneisy Frómeta, National Director of Attention to Employees of the Cuban Medical Mission in Venezuela, was responsible for reading the congratulatory message to the economists, highlighting their professionalism and commitment to the crucial task they are carrying out.
At the meeting, Dr. José Antonio Machado, head of the Cuban Medical Mission, recognized the work of these specialists and urged them to continue working with the ethics bequeathed by the heroic guerrillas.
“If Fidel told us as children that the paradigm was Che and we swore we would be like Che, then now we can also say: economists for socialism, we will be like Che.”
The Day of the Cuban Economist and Accountant is observed every November 26 in honor of the anniversary of Ernesto Guevara’s appointment as President of the National Bank of Cuba.
