Access to the account, which can be used to process transfers and make payments, remained difficult on Saturday morning.
Some customers have notified TVA Nouvelles about problems with the service.
“Accessing BLCDirect this morning after another update last night did not work and I have not received my salary since September 25,” said one netizen.
“Not everything is done at Laurentienne, the automatic debits are not recorded,” complains a consumer.
The Montreal-based financial institution took stock on its Facebook page early Saturday morning and reiterated “its most sincere apologies.”
“Due to high traffic volumes, our online banking platform BLCDirect may be slow or experience service interruptions. It is possible that some balances and transactions are not yet fully updated, but this will be done as soon as possible,” we assure.

“We sincerely apologize for this inconvenience and thank you for your patience.”
Laurentian Bank, contacted by TVA Nouvelles, claims that “everything is resolved” except for the slowness and delays on the web platforms.
Faced with the dissatisfaction of angry customers, the CEO of Laurentian Bank stated in an interview on LCN.
“The cause of last weekend’s situation was an update to the bank’s computer system, which unfortunately resulted in delays in transactions and resulted in the bank not opening its system to customers for approximately four days,” he explained on Friday.
We assure that transactions made during the outage were able to be processed.
Laurentian Bank promises that certain customers affected by the outage will receive a refund.
“Any insufficient funds charges, late payment charges or interest charges incurred as a result of this outage will be refunded. “If a customer’s credit rating is affected by the outage in recent days, we invite them to contact us so that we can assist them in resolving the situation,” it said in a written statement.
