Desjardins’ AccèsD portal, which customers can use to carry out transactions and banking online, was down for a few hours on Sunday.
Access to AccèsD was not possible via a web browser or via the Desjardins mobile app.
“IT teams are fully mobilized and working to ensure services are restored. We sincerely regret this situation,” a Desjardins spokesman, Jean-Benoit Turcotti, commented briefly, without addressing the cause of the collapse.
The system was finally restored in the afternoon.
Desjardin’s services have had a few hiccups in recent months. Last December, a glitch paralyzed the AccèsD portal and card and over-the-counter transactions.
An error also occurred in November that prevented paying with Desjardin’s debit or credit card.
