The Dinamico Festival between music and contemporary circus is just around the corner Gazzetta di Reggio

Reggio Emilia The thirteenth edition of Dinamico, the contemporary circus, music and street theater festival that has been taking place in the parks of Reggio Emilia since 2010, will take place in Reggio Emilia from Wednesday 6 to Sunday 24 September.

It will be a very rich edition with a slightly different pace than usual, offering, in addition to the classic four days of festival in the Parco del Popolo, various events in different locations in the city until the end of September.

It begins on Wednesday September 6th at the Chiostri della Ghiara with the Cinematografo in collaboration with the Reggio Film Festival and Circo Paniko to tell the twenty-year story of an independent circus between images and live music. On September 13th the Cinematografo will continue with the presentation of documentaries about the artists Claudio Stellato and Julien Voghel and the direct participation of the director Filip Jacobson.

From Thursday September 7th we will immerse ourselves in the heart of the festival at the Parco del Popolo, with four days of exuberance and magic, with companies from all over Europe and three showpoints (two tents and an outdoor arena).

The company Rasposo comes from France to Reggio Emilia with an intimate, disturbing and liberating circus show that will never be forgotten, the inevitable Circo Paniko with the new production Apocalippo with live music, Valentina Melotti with her intense Marisa inspired by the Venus of Milo, Patfield and Triguero with Gibbon, the small theater by Nadia Addis, a special show for only four spectators at a time, the Small Garden by Fabrizio Solinas, which will accompany the audience in the meanders of Kind regards, the Cia D’es Tro with one of the biggest spins in the world, La Triochka with Topdown and Cristiano Grandi with Svò.

The In-forma-breve project is also back, in which four artists from the Flic School will bring the fruits of a year-long specialization work to the Turin school.

This year, around the shows, there will also be workshops for children and young people, the historic wooden amusement park and live music with bands and DJs from the aperitif to the evening: a mixture of exotic sounds and Emilian quotes.

The Dinamico dates continue with La Donna Lampada, scheduled for Friday September 15, at the Teatro Piccolo Orologio: the Catalan artist Laia Picas Rodereda will be on stage presenting a working phase of her show at the end of an artistic residency. Laia was and is supported by Dinamico as part of the European Effea Prize and the project for the dissemination of the contemporary circus creation Solo But Not Alone.

On September 16th and 17th, Dinamico will stop at the Aterballetto Fonderia during the dance festival, with the diptych “Instante” by Juan Ignacio Tula and “Lontano” by Marica Marinoni, two short-form solos, two refined and decidedly contemporary researches with one only circus instrument, la roue cyr.

The last events of the summer will take place on September 23rd and 24th with the usual bridge between the Dinamico and the Open Festival in collaboration with the I Teatri Foundation: “Les Josianes ou l’art de la Resistance” arrives in the city, an exciting, acrobatic piece and popular and Mazùt the historical show by the award-winning company Barò D’Evel.
