Samantha Schümtz became one of the most discussed topics on social media this Wednesday (18) after Juliette Freire and Duda Beat were accused of plagiarizing an Emicida project. Netizens sparked actress criticism of the singer in 2022 when Samantha asked if the former BBB member was an artist. The interpreter of Jéssica in “Vai que Cola”, who was criticized at the time, remained “innocent” for the comment.
In April 2022, Juliette took part in Altas Horas on Globo and expressed her opinion on the importance of taking a stand on certain issues since she is a public figure.
“We are in an outstanding place, our career is not just for us, we have a social role. Me as an artist today, who I become, who I am, I think it’s a commitment,” she said on Serginho Groisman’s program.
The actress saw the excerpt of the interview posted on the Mídia Ninja profile on Instagram and wrote: “I think it’s great to take a stand, but is she an artist?” Samantha deleted the comment minutes later, but it was included in the attacked on social media for questioning Juliette’s artistic career, leaving BBB 21 and taking her first steps as a singer.
After Evandro Fióti, Emicida’s brother, made accusations of plagiarism this Wednesday (18), Internet users sided with Samantha in the fight with Juliette. “Samantha Schmütz, time has freed you,” said Guilherme Rocha on Twitter.
“With A + B, Samantha Dirt proves that she is not an artist. After all, she wasn’t even involved in the creative process of the song,” agreed an internet user who only identified herself as Juliana.
“Isn’t Samantha Schmütz the one who was criticized for saying what needed to be said, but only a few had the courage? And Juliette isn’t the ‘sweet and sweet’ (with a nice accent, by the way) product of “The BBB porn star they call ‘artist’ and now he’s Anitta’s boyfriend?” William commented.
Is Yellow Magic plagiarized by Emicida?
Juliette Freire and Duda Beat were accused of plagiarism by Evandro Fióti, brother and producer of rapper Emicida. They released the song Magia Amarela on Tuesday (17), and the work had a visual identity compared to Emicida’s project AmarElo (2019).
The singers said they were hired as interpreters of the song for a Bauducco brand campaign and therefore had no involvement in the creation and production process.
“Our entire team is in contact with those responsible for the creation and production of the campaign to issue an official declaration of satisfaction to the public and the press,” the advisory teams of Duda Beat and Juliette said in a statement.
Evandro Fióti harshly criticized the song Magia Amarela: “You know appropriation and everything we talk about ethics? So this market has very little. Without criticizing the artists, whom I even admire, but our legal team will work!”
