Cuban singer Eduardo Antonio, known as “El Divo de Placetas”, recently experienced an awkward situation during an interview on host Frank Abel’s show.
When the popular musician entered the studio, he noticed a detail in the decoration that made him uncomfortable and couldn’t contain his reaction.
While Frank Abel greeted him, Eduardo Antonio looked at the poster in the back of the studio, which features several Cuban artists, including La Diosa, Señorita Dayana, Gente de Zona, El Micha, Ovi, Lenier, El Chacal and others.
It was uncomfortable for El Divo not to find themselves or other important exponents of Cuban music.
“Amaury is missing, Gloria (Estefan), Willy (Chirino), Albita, Divo is missing,” he told the rep.
The singer stressed that he deserved to be there due to his long career.
At the time, Frank Abel asked the production team if he could remove the poster, but received a negative answer. With that in mind, he commented: “Okay look I can’t remove it but then you have to add the artists from this house. Eduardo, I apologize.”
Later, the singer clarified that the solution is not to remove the poster, but to include the artists who also deserve to be represented. On his social networks, Eduardo Antonio shared the video of the incident and commented: “I was not respected.”
El Divo is experiencing a very special moment in his private life. In February of this year he married with her boyfriend Roy Garcia.
“I never thought that with so many productions I’ve done in my life, this wedding would make me so nervous,” he said.
After a dreamy honeymoon, El Divo has returned to its usual presentations at El Tamalazo. In fact, he had a debate with the goddess because he had scheduled a concert at the Watsco Center in the town of Coral Gables on the same day as her.
