The Dutch version of Omid Scobie’s book Endgame says Prince William denied Harry the opportunity to fly with the royal family to Balmoral to see the queen before her death.
According to The Sun, Scobie claimed the Prince of Wales did this because he was “still angry” with Harry over the Sussexes’ Oprah interview in 2021.
In the Dutch version, William was also branded “heartless” over the alleged move – a highly inflammatory term that is likely to deepen the rift between the two brothers. However, this term does not appear in the British version.
The chapter tells of the hours before the monarch’s death in September last year and how members of the company rushed to Balmoral to see her.
Prince William, Prince Andrew, Prince Edward and Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh traveled north on a plane.
Kate appeared to be staying in Windsor as she was photographed picking up her children in England later in the day.
However, Prince Harry went there on his own and later claimed he was not invited on the trip.

He flew alone to Scotland – and by the time he arrived at Balmoral, the Queen had sadly passed away at the age of 96.
The royal told host Anderson Cooper that he texted his brother to find out how he and Kate would get to the property, but was never given the flight details.
“I asked my brother, “What are your plans?” “How did you and Kate get up there?” he recalled.
“And then a few hours later, all the family members who live in the Windsor and Ascot area jumped on a plane together, a 12, 14, maybe 16 seat plane.”
“You weren’t invited on that plane?” Anderson asked him, to which Harry replied, “I wasn’t invited.”

Scobie refused to apologize for the scandal that broke out, claiming: “I’m as frustrated as anyone.” The book I wrote, the book I edited, the book I signed didn’t contain any names.

“It’s incredibly sad that it’s come to this,” a friend of William and Harry told the Sunday Times.
“Hugh is one of William and Harry’s few close friends who has strong bonds and close communication with both of them.” He wishes they could put their heads together and sort things out, but is aware that that will happen before the wedding probably won’t happen.”
“He wanted to avoid anything overshadowing the day, especially for Olivia, and doesn’t want any embarrassment.”
A spokesman for the Duke said last night: “We are not in a position to comment on the guest list.” Buckingham Palace also declined to comment.
