The actor Matt LeBlanc has shared an emotional tribute to his late co-star Matthew Perry, who died on October 28 at the age of 54. LeBlanc was the first “Friends” cast member to issue an individual statement since Perry’s death.
In an Instagram post on Tuesday, LeBlanc expressed that his years working with Perry were “the best of his life.” Perry starred alongside the character Chandler Bing in the hit comedy Friends Joey Tribbiani by LeBlanc, from 1994 to 2004.

LeBlanc ended his tribute with a reference to Friends: “And I guess you get to keep the $20 you owe me,” he commented.
Perry appeared in all ten seasons of the series “Friends,” which was the number one comedy on television at the time, appearing in each of its 234 episodes. It was his role as Chandler Bing LeBlanc, Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow and David Schwimmerwhat shaped his career.

Days after Perry’s death, the cast of Friends issued a brief statement mourning the loss of “a family member.”
According to official sources, Perry was found dead in a private hot tub at his Los Angeles home. Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Nicholas Prange confirmed the death, noting that the unit “found an adult male unconscious in a hot tub.” After an immediate medical examination, it was determined that the person had died before emergency responders arrived at the scene. The investigation into the cause of death is currently in the hands of the Los Angeles Police Department and the county coroner.
