Myles Garrett, star of the Cleveland Browns American football team, was involved in an accident last Monday (26) in Sharon Township, Ohio, USA. Luckily, the athlete who overturned his 2021 Porsche 911 Turbo S escaped with only minor injuries.

Garrett was with a passenger driving the sports car when the vehicle went off the road and landed on the grass beside the road.

Check out the video below, captured by one of the officers’ body cam:

The footage shows the 26yearold sitting on the grass with his shirt torn and blood on his hand being treated by doctors. Meanwhile, the passenger can be seen in the background lying on the grass.

Both were taken to the hospital after the accident. The football player was released from Cleveland Clinic Akron General Monday night. He was left with a sprained shoulder, lacerations and a strained bicep.

The damage to the Porsche 911

Based on the pictures, it can be assumed that the Porsche 911 rolled over at least once. The vehicle was badly damaged, with dents and cracks almost the entire length.

The damage starts at the front where the bumper was ripped off the car and one of the headlights was lost. The hood is bent and the front panels are ruined.

On the sides of the Porsche 911, the doors and bodywork in general were quite crushed. The rear was not spared from the damage either.

The reason for the accident has not yet been discovered.

Police determined Myles Garrett was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol but are still investigating the cause of the accident.

It is not yet known how fast the car was traveling on the road. However, the athlete is believed to have been speeding because the Ohio State Highway Patrol issued a tip to him for appearing to be using “unsafe speed for the type of road being traveled.”

Additionally, investigations have already revealed that a report by local television station WKYC found that the Browns star had been fined at least six times for driving more than 100 mph since joining the team in 2017, with a maximum of 193 km/h) in the Cleveland area.

In one instance, Garrett was pulled over twice within 24 hours: once for speeding 120 mph and again for 107 mph. This player’s story alone says a lot about his accident…
