The fiancé of an Alabama prisoner who was allegedly killed after being beaten and raped for two days has told what it was like to visit him hours before his death.
Daniel Williams, 22, was serving a 12-month sentence for second-degree theft at Staton Correctional Facility in Elmore, Alabama, when a guard found him unresponsive in his dorm on October 22.
His family claims the prison warden told them he suffered a “drug overdose,” but insiders at the prison told the Alabama Political Reporter that he was “kidnapped, tied up, assaulted and sold” by another inmate for two or two months. been 3 days’.
The father of one was declared brain dead upon arrival at Jackson Hospital and was receiving palliative care, his family said in a GoFundMe campaign. He was taken off life support on November 5 and died four days later.

“How am I supposed to tell her about her dad? Why isn’t he here? Why did he never come home,” she told WMTV 13.

His father Terry Williams said Daniel was brain dead when he saw him and his family had been forced to make the difficult decision to turn off his life support after he was moved to palliative care.
He said he was angry at the warden and said, “I called the warden and swore at him.” I said, “Dude, do you know this isn’t an overdose case? You know exactly what happened. How can this shit happen like this?” Well, it’s under investigation. And that was the last time I ever spoke to the director.’

Terry and his wife, Taylor Bostic, claim that their son’s body showed signs of physical abuse, including that “his hands were tied.”
The couple claims Williams’ doctor described the alleged abuse as unlike anything he had ever seen in his 30-year medical career.
Bostic claims that in addition to the bruises and obvious binding, a nurse told her and Mr. Williams that there were “visible handprints between Daniel’s legs.”
The family said they had asked for a rape investigation to be carried out, but claimed their request was initially rejected. They claim hospital staff finally examined him on November 1 after hiring a lawyer. The results of the kit are still unclear.
Mr. Williams and Bostic say they are now committed to getting justice for Williams, who left behind a son and a one-year-old daughter.
The outraged father said: “We have to stop this.” “If I can save a few lives, I will be grateful.”
