The romantic comedy Just like Sylvain, by director Monia Chokri, received a nomination for the César Award for Best Foreign Film.

The Quebec film, starring Magalie Lépine-Blondeau and Pierre-Yves Cardinal, competes in particular with the Hollywood drama “Oppenheimer” by Christopher Nolan, which is also in the running for this award.
Quebec cinematographer Nicolas Bolduc also received a César nomination for best photography for his work in the two films in the Three Musketeers saga.
The finalists for the next César ceremony – France's equivalent of the Oscars – were announced on Wednesday morning in Paris. These are the films “The Animal Kingdom” by Thomas Cailley and “Anatomy of a Fall” by Justine Triet, which lead the race with 12 and 11 nominations, respectively.
The 49th César ceremony will take place on February 23rd at the Olympia in Paris.
