The satirical comedy will be released two weeks after its theatrical release willby Denys Arcand, has already exceeded the million dollar mark at the box office.
According to the latest report from the Cineac agency, released on Monday, the film earned $1,138,909 at the box office in Quebec from Friday to Sunday.
Testament ranked third among the province’s most popular movies last weekend, behind Martin Scorsese’s The American Note ($362,606) and concert film Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour ($338,779).

Three other Quebec films made it into the top 10 at the weekend box office. The animated film “The Legend of the Butterfly” took 6th place and has grossed $226,733 to date.
Drama “Happy Days” is in 8th place with a gross of $79,489 for its first weekend in theaters. Finally, the dramatic comedy “Just Like Sylvain” brings up the rear at number 10 and is inching closer to $1 million in sales (previously $868,125).
