The release of US court documents accusing Prince Andrew of attending an “underage orgy” on Jeffrey Epstein's Caribbean island and groping the “breasts” of an alleged sex slave dashes any hope he had of returning to royal duties experts told Web today.
The Duke of York has been caught up in the sex scandal surrounding his pedophile friend again, just over a year after he settled the multimillion-dollar case brought by Virginia Giuffre in 2022.
In addition to allegations of “sexual abuse,” documents released overnight in New York allege that Andrew made weekly calls to Epstein and flew to his private Caribbean retreat, nicknamed the “Island of Sin.”
Royal expert Phil Dampier told Web today that the Epstein files are “the final nail in the coffin” for Prince Andrew's reputation – and Prince William in particular will ensure his uncle does not return to the royal family.
Mr Dampier said: “The big danger to him is that another woman could make specific allegations against him and also demand a day in court or compensation.”
Royal biographer Tom Bower said the royal family must “bury and forget” Prince Andrew as he “denies himself” over his association with Jeffrey Epstein. “It's a danger to the palace, they don't know what other bombs will be dropped.” “He doesn't tell them,” he said. Commentator Richard Fitzwilliams says any restoration of Andrew's image would be an “impossible task”.
Buckingham Palace declined to comment today as it only speaks for working royals. The Duke resigned from his post in 2019 over his links to convicted pedophile Epstein. In 2022, his mother, the Queen, stripped him of his royal patronage and military titles before settling the multi-million dollar case with Ms Giuffre.
Today it was revealed that one of Epstein's alleged sex slaves, known only as Jane Doe 3, claimed she was told to have sex with Prince Andrew during an orgy on Epstein's Little Saint James Island in the US Virgin Islands.

The documents also contain allegations that Andrew used a doll of himself to place on Johanna Sjoberg's chest
A 2014 court filing alleges that she was “forced to have sexual relations with this prince while she was still a minor, in three different geographical locations.” The newly unsealed documents claim that Epstein instructed Jane Doe 3 to “give the prince whatever he asked for.” Jane Doe 3 claims that Ghislaine Maxwell “facilitated Prince Andrew's acts of sexual abuse by acting as a 'madame' to Epstein.”
The Duke of York was at Sandringham with his family for Christmas but only because Charles “took pity” on him, Phil Dampier said.
Mr Dampier claimed William would never let his uncle return to royal duties, which is now even more unlikely after the Epstein files were released in New York last night.
He said: “These latest revelations will do no good to Prince Andrew’s hopes of returning to royal duties.”
“It was always very unlikely anyway, but this could be the final nail in the coffin for his reputation.”
“It is important to remember that he has never been convicted of a crime and denies it.”
“But I can't imagine him ever setting foot in the US again.” In fact, someone who used to travel around the world has only been abroad once or twice since the scandal broke.
“There seems to be no end in sight for him and so I can’t imagine a comeback.”
“I think the king feels sorry for him and has made it clear that he is still very much a part of the family, as we saw at Christmas.”
“But Prince William would certainly be opposed to any attempt by him to take on any public office.”
The documents released in New York also reveal:
Jane Doe 3 is not named in the documents. Virginia Giuffre says she had sex with Andrew three times around 2001, when she was 17 and 18 years old. For example, the age of consent is 18 in the US Virgin Islands, but is lower in the United Kingdom, where it is 16. The age of consent in Florida is 18 and in New York it is 17.
The legal documents do not indicate when the orgy allegedly involving Prince Andrew took place.
Virginia Giuffre gave written testimony in a Florida court in 2015 and said, “The third time I had sex with Andy was at an orgy on Epstein's private island in the U.S. Virgin Islands.”
“I was about 18 years old at the time. Epstein, Andy, about eight other young girls and I had sex together. “The other girls all seemed to be under 18 and didn’t really speak English.”
She added that Epstein, who took his own life in prison in August 2019 while awaiting trial on additional child abuse charges, “laughed at the fact that they couldn't really communicate and said that she was the” were the “easiest” girls to get along with.
Former US President Bill Clinton “likes them young”, an alleged Epstein victim also claimed in almost 1,000 pages of evidence released by a US court, and there was an allegation that Professor Stephen Hawking attended a sex party .
The names of more than 170 people who were either associates, friends or victims of Epstein will be made public following an order from a US judge last month.
Prince Andrew is mentioned 69 times in over 900 pages of documents released last night.
The first tranche of documents was released on Wednesday evening, with prominent figures such as the Duke of York and former US President Bill Clinton playing important roles. There are also mentions of Donald Trump, Michael Jackson, Stephen Hawking, David Copperfield, Alan Dershowitz and many more.
Mr. Dershowitz has said he wants all documents released because it would prove he “did nothing wrong.” Others have also denied it, including Prince Andrew himself. Mr Copperfield also denied wrongdoing and said he regretted his association with Epstein.
Following the release of documents related to Jeffrey Epstein by a New York court, Virginia Giuffre, one of the pedophile financier's victims, posted on X and pointed out that a website that published the files had crashed.
She wrote: “We broke the website.”
Johanna Sjoberg claims she was sexually abused by Prince Andrew, who allegedly used his Spitting Image doll to touch her breast
In part of her testimony, Johanna Sjoberg described the moment she saw the Prince Andreas doll for the first time
She also recounted the moment the doll's hand was placed on Virginia Giuffre's chest and Prince Andrew's hand was placed on her own
Court documents show that Ms Giuffre said during a deposition in 2016 that Ghislaine Maxwell told her to have sex with several men, including Andrew.
After questioning Ms. Giuffre about each of the men in turn, Laura Menninger, a lawyer who was part of Maxwell's legal team at the time, asked: “Except for Glenn Dubin (redacted), Prince Andrew, Jean Luc Brunel, Bill Richardson, “Another prince who Owner of a large hotel chain and Marvin Minsky. Is there anyone else Ghislaine Maxwell instructed you to have sex with?”
Ms. Giuffre replied, “I'm definitely sure that is the case.” But can I remember all the names? NO.'
Among the unsealed documents is the transcript of Virginia's questioning about the whereabouts of the photograph of her with the Duke of York.
When asked where the picture was during her testimony in 2016, she said, “I probably still have it. It's not in my possession at the moment.”
Ms Giuffre added that it may have been in storage boxes with her mother-in-law and father-in-law in Sydney, Australia.
She also said that documents related to the case may also have been in the storage boxes, which were “full of Nerf guns, my children's toys and photos.”
Bill Clinton is seen with Jeffrey Epstein at the White House in 1993 at an event for donors to the White House Historical Association. Epstein attended the event after donating $10,000 to the fund. Ghislaine Maxwell is pictured next to Epstein
A section of the document alleges that Epstein claimed, “Clinton likes her young.”
During testimony, Ms. Giuffre said she gave the picture to the FBI in 2011 but last saw it before packing up her apartment to emigrate from Colorado to Australia.
The testimony of a woman named Johanna Sjoberg was also released as part of the documents.
She previously claimed Andrew touched her breast as she sat on a couch in the US billionaire's Manhattan apartment in 2001 and gave a statement in May 2016.
The incident is said to have occurred while Ms Giuffre and Ms Sjoberg were at Epstein's home on Fifth Avenue in New York.
Ms. Sjoberg's testimony referred to a doll being placed on Ms. Giuffre's chest at the same time – presumably Andrew's Spitting Image doll.
A 2014 filing says Epstein sold victims “for sexual purposes” to powerful men, including a “well-known prime minister” and other world leaders, a 2014 filing says.
Pedophile financier Jeffrey Epstein was willing to reward a friend of his victim if she could “prove her allegations are false” – including that Professor Stephen Hawking took part in an orgy with minors, court documents have revealed.
An email from Epstein to disgraced British socialite Ghislaine Maxwell revealed that he was happy for her to “issue a reward” to a friend of Virginia Giuffre to counter her claims shortly after she arrived in the US in 2015 filed a civil lawsuit.
The email said: “You may offer a reward to any Virginia friends, acquaintances and family members who come forward and help prove her allegations are false.”
“The strongest thing about the Clinton dinner and the new version in the Virgin Islands is that Stephen Hawking took part in an underage orgy.”
Donald Trump, Melania Trump, Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell at the Mar-a-Lago Club in Palm Beach. Trump and Epstein spoke regularly, documents say
Among the court documents released was the transcript of the socialite's videotaped statement under oath as part of Ms. Giuffre's civil lawsuit against Maxwell.
During her interview, known in the US as a deposition, Maxwell claimed she could only remember Prince Andrew on Epstein's island once.
Andrew retreated from public life after the uproar over his friendship with Epstein and paid millions to settle a civil sexual assault case against Ms. Giuffre, a woman he said he had never met.
The duke was expelled from the workers' monarchy and no longer uses his royal highness style after Ms Giuffre, who was trafficked by Epstein, accused him of sexually abusing her when she was 17.
He vigorously denies any wrongdoing.
When asked if there were any girls under the age of 18 present on that one occasion, Maxwell replied: “There were no girls on the island at all.”
“No girls, no women, except the staff who work in the house.”
“That means girls, I'm assuming you're asking minors, but other than the cooks and the cleaners there was no one who was female.”
Other documents showed Maxwell sending an email describing herself as “overwhelmed” in January 2015, shortly after a civil lawsuit was filed against her.
She added: “I have already suffered such a terrible and painful loss in the last few days that I cannot even imagine what life after press hell is even like – statements that do not appeal to everyone only lead to more questions… “What is my relationship with Clinton? Andrew, keep going.'
Johanna Sjoberg also said Epstein told her that former President Bill Clinton “likes her young, and in terms of girls.”
Ms. Sjoberg said: “I knew he had dealings with Bill Clinton.”
“I didn’t know they were friends until I read the Vanity Fair article about their trip to Africa together.”
Asked whether Epstein had ever spoken about the former president, Ms. Sjoberg said: “He once said that Clinton liked her young, referring to girls.”
In 2019, Mr. Clinton's spokesman said he knew “nothing about the horrific crimes to which Jeffrey Epstein pleaded guilty” and that the pair had not spoken in “over a decade.”
The spokesman also said that Mr. Clinton had never been to Epstein's island called Little St. James, his ranch in New Mexico or his home in Florida.
