Although Arrowverse officially ends with Season 9 of The Flash, showrunner Eric Wallace has expressed hope that at least some of the series’ characters will live on elsewhere. The series’ penultimate episode gave fans some hope for an Arrowverse sequel, with Barry Allen from 2049 being noted as absent due to his duties at the Watchtower, the headquarters of the Justice League’s space station. That moment was eventually called into question with Barry’s retirement, as according to The Flash’s pre-established schedule, he would have remained the titular hero in the series’ canon for at least two more decades.
