The flight attendant’s “mind palace” serves up a whopping 31 flavors of Kaley Cuoco’s eponymous Cassie Bowden, as teased in the full trailer for Season 2 of the HBO Max dramedy.
Premiering Thursday, April 21 (featuring the first two episodes), in the second episode of The Flight Attendant, Cuoco’s Cassie will “live her best sober life in Los Angeles while working as a CIA operative in her spare time,” according to it the official logline . “But when she accidentally witnesses a murder while on a foreign assignment, she becomes involved in another international intrigue.” (Season 2 was filmed in Los Angeles, Berlin and Reykjavik.)
While a sober Cassie (just barely) copes with the latest “spy novel” she’s been drawn into, the “mind palace” – where she retreated last season to confer with tragically late liaison Alex Sokolov – is this time her home to not just another Cassie (her formerly vodka-guzzling self), but a total of three alternate versions, as featured in the trailer above.
In addition to Cuoco (x4), Season 2 regulars include Zosia Mamet (as Annie), Griffin Matthews (Shane), Deniz Akdeniz (Max), and Rosie Perez (Megan), as well as returning guest stars TR Knight (as Davey). ), Yasha Jackson (Jada) and Audrey Grace Marshall (Young Cassie).
New to the mix are Mo McRae (Sons of Anarchy), Callie Hernandez (soundtrack) and JJ Soria (Army Wives) as series regulars, while Sharon Stone (as Cassie’s estranged mother Lisa), Cheryl Hines (Curb Your Enthusiasm) and Jessie Ennis (Mythic Quest), Mae Martin (Feel Good), Margaret Cho (Drop Dead Diva), Santiago Cabrera (Salvation, Star Trek: Picard), and Shohreh Aghdashloo (The Expanse) have recurring roles. Season 1 of The Flight Attendant garnered a total of nine Emmy nominations (including Outstanding Comedy, Screenplay, Direction, Lead Actress Cuoco, and Supporting Actress Perez) and picked up Gold for Original Main Title Theme Music.
