Best jobs 2022: Unusual career paths top list

Fortune just released its annual ranking of the best companies to work for in 2022. The 100 Best Companies to Work For, according to Fortune, prioritized employee well-being and places that fostered a culture of inclusion, purpose, listening, caring and empathy.
The data was collected by Great Place to Work, evaluating over 870,000 confidential responses to employee surveys.
“Best Companies leadership has never been more necessary,” Michael C. Bush, CEO of Great Place to Work, a company that measures workplace culture, told Fortune. “As workers grapple with major resignation, burnout and COVID disruption, these extraordinary companies are delivering workplace experiences as strong as they were before the pandemic.”
Here are Fortune’s top 10 “Best Companies to Work For” in 2022
This is the second year in a row that Cisco has ranked first on this list. Fortune says the top companies are able to adapt to change and support employees’ personal and work lives.

The survey found that nearly 90% of employees at these companies feel they can be themselves, compared to just 64% in the average workplace.
Your resources for the overall well-being of employees have been increased. They expanded mental health, elder care and childcare support. Additionally, they provided additional support with financial and professional assistance during the COVID-19 pandemic, Fortune says.
In a survey, employees at the top 100 companies said they feel the companies care about their well-being and needs:
- 9 out of 10 would strongly recommend their company to friends and family;
- 9 out of 10 feel cared for;
- 4 out of 5 employees feel mentally and emotionally healthy;
- 4 out of 5 look forward to coming to work;
- 4 out of 5 find meaning in their job.
