The founder of the horse show CavalieNormand Latourelle, has just sold his co-ownership of Montreal’s swanky Tropiques Nord complex for $1.8 million.
The complex is located adjacent to the Habitat 67 complex on the Cité-du-Havre Peninsula at 2500 Avenue Pierre Dupuy in Montreal.
Mr. Latourelle has lived on this property since July 2021 with his wife Fannie Lefort, also from Cavalia. The price paid by Mr. Latourelle at the time was $1,630,000.
The 11-story building has 120 residential units spread over eight floors and a 32,000-square-foot atrium featuring a garden with waterfalls, palm trees and other tropical plants. The building also has two swimming pools, a spa, a sauna, two exercise rooms, and tennis and squash courts.
La Presse recently revealed that Cavalia’s founder is one of five private landowners around Bull Pond, a body of water with no public access in Brigham, in the Brome-Missisquoi region. The neighboring community of Cowansville last year invested $700,000 to upgrade levees that keep the five owners at the pond’s edge a comfortable water level.
