France has advised its citizens, “whose presence and that of their family are not essential in Russia” to leave the country.
“In the context created by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and the application of international sanctions against that country, increased vigilance is needed,” the French Foreign Ministry said on its website.
The ministry cited this by the French embassy in Russia to find a “non-exhaustive list of indirect links allowing return to France” following the “closure of airspace between Russia and the European Member States of the European Union”.
The French embassy in Moscow reminds that the whole territory of Russia is not recommended, except for compelling reasons. Therefore, it is also appropriate to postpone any trip to Russia.
She wrote on her website that passengers whose tickets were canceled due to restrictions must first contact their airline. He published a non-exhaustive list of indirect links to return to France:
Turkey: Istanbul, Ankara, Antalya
Armenia: Yerevan
Azerbaijan: Baku (no visa required for transit at Baku Airport, as long as the passenger stays in the international area of the airport)
United Arab Emirates : Dubai, Abu Dhabi
Qatar: Doha
Morocco: Rabat, Casablanca
Egypt: Cairo
Lebanon: Beirut
Other possibilities from the northwestern region :
Estonia: by road (car, bus from Lux Express)
