French President Emmanuel Macron today has a 41 percent approval of his management against the government a week before he takes on Marine Le Pen.
According to the French Institute for Public Opinion (IFOP), the President received the best ratings from people over 65 (49%), pensioners (50%) and senior managers (48%), but his acceptance dropped among young people aged 18-18 24-year-olds (34%), unemployed (25%) and workers (28%).
The results, published by the weekly Le Journal du Dimanche, show that Le Pen’s supporters and those of La France Insumisa leader Jean-Luc Mélenchon, who won 15% and 15% respectively in the elections of 10-10

For Macron, the approval of four out of ten French people just a week before the election, which will be a repeat of the second round of the 2017 presidential election, is good news.
The head of state ended his five years on the executive with more favorable criteria than his predecessors François Hollande (22%) and Nicolas Sarkozy (36%), but behind François Mitterrand (54%) and Jacques Chirac (47%).
The latest polls show that 23% of voters would vote for the far-right candidate, 33% for Macron and the rest would abstain.
