The funniest animal photos according to prestigious international tournament ​​

“Air Guitar Roo” is the winner of the competition and the “Creatures of Land” category.

Despite the harshness we associate with wildlife, sometimes it offers us more than just beautiful scenes; and the Comedy Wildlife Photo Awards 2023 competition has been collecting them since 2015. In this edition they received 5,300 entries from a total of 1,842 participants.

The absolute winner of all was Jason Moore with his photo Air Guitar Roo, which also triumphed in the “Creatures of the Land” category. According to the competition organization, the image was selected in the closest coordination to date.

“I captured this scene while bird watching in Bialowieza Forest. A young greenfinch was still being fed by its parents. However, the birds seemed to argue from time to time.

“An unusual and almost miserable end to a perfect, previously prepared moment for successful fishing,” Vittorio Ricci.

“A dancing otter dances gracefully in an arabesque pose. The otter jumped while trying to grab the protruding leaves and, in an unusual landing, landed in the arabesque pose.

“The ground squirrel jumped as if it could fly. Unfortunately it has no wings. To his surprise, it fell back to the ground,” said Ti’mea Ambrus.

The photo was taken in Keoladeo National Park, Bharatpur, Rajasthan, India. This park is a paradise for nature lovers.

“I took the photo in Westerfolds Park, a beautiful and surprisingly wild piece of land in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs famous for its kangaroo population. The group was enjoying the morning sun when this baby kangaroo decided to get frisky and try his hand at boxing.”, Lara Mathews.

Gannets mate for life, returning to the same nest year after year to raise their young and perform a welcoming ritual: touching their beaks and devouring their necks.

“This photo was taken in the Monkey Forest in Ubud, Bali. It’s a crazy place where the monkeys are king! Sometimes they put on a show and sometimes they climb on you and look for fleas or try to steal a piece of cookie from you “This forest is special, even magical and sacred to the Balinese people.
