Rumors are swirling about an upcoming “Fan Edition” (FE) event from Samsung, which could be an opportunity for the manufacturer to unveil new features… for fans. In addition to the Galaxy Tab S9 FE, Galaxy Tab S9 FE+ and the Galaxy S23 FE, these should be entitled to the Galaxy Buds FE, i.e. wireless headphones.
Low price but great design
This model presents itself as an affordable entry into Samsung’s Bluetooth headphone range. Their design has been simplified and they will be available in two colors: graphite gray and white. The outer casing has a clearly defined touch zone that allows you to control media playback simply by touching the surface with your finger.
As for the sound, these new headphones integrate a single speaker with a diameter of 12 millimeters. Samsung highlights an improvement in bass reproduction. However, the battery life has not been revealed yet. The earbuds are powered via standard pogo pins in a charging case that can be connected to a power supply via a USB-C port. The outside of the charging case is white regardless of the color of the earbuds.

The friendly pricing is a strength of the Galaxy Buds FE. In the United States, the price would be set at $99.99. In Europe, some retailers are already offering the headphones for 88.90 euros. Although the starting price is slightly higher than other models in the Galaxy Buds series, their cost is expected to fall quickly, as is often the case with Samsung products.
These headphones will therefore accompany a new smartphone, the Galaxy S23 FE, which is also the subject of numerous leaks. Expected last quarter, this model will stand out from its predecessors in terms of processor choice: it will be powered by the Exynos 2200 chip in all markets, including the US.
This is an important decision as the Galaxy S23 range has so far only featured Qualcomm’s Snapdragon processors. The Exynos 2200 that powers the Galaxy S22 in Europe will be almost two years old when the S23 FE launches! Samsung will therefore have great interest in ensuring its reliability, especially in the United States, where consumers are used to Snapdragon chips in high-end Galaxy devices.
The Galaxy S23 FE could also feature an improved 50MP rear camera, a notable improvement over the 12MP cameras on previous FE models. The storage will vary between 128 GB and 256 GB, the RAM between 6 GB and 8 GB. The battery would be the same as its predecessors, with a capacity of 4,500 mAh, likely with 25W fast charging.
