The film “The Karate Kid” tells the story of a young man named Daniel La Russo. After dating Johnny Lawrence’s exgirlfriend, he finds himself tormented by the school’s thugs.
Fortunately, Daniel meets karate master Miyagi, who starts training to make him a great fighter. Ali Mills, LaRusso’s girlfriend in the storyline, was played by the actress Elizabeth Shue.
Even the star made a special appearance in one of the episodes of “Cobra Kai‘, set some 30 years later and depicting Lawrence’s redemption.
Elisabeth was born in Wilmington, Delaware, USA and turned 59 in October. She won the Oscar for her role in “Leaving Las Vegas”.
The daughter of a bank teller and a lawyer, Shue even attended Harvard University but withdrew to pursue a career in acting.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Elizabeth opened up about her return to the Karate Kid universe.

According to the star, she was very excited to be reunited with her former costars.
“I was really excited to see Ralph [Macchio] and Billy [Zabka]. I watched every season and was so impressed how they managed to take something so loved with a film so loved and make something just as interesting. I think Ralph and I saw each other in 1986, that was really cool. I haven’t seen Billy since we stopped recording [o primeiro filme]said the star.
