Singer Dianelys Alfonso Cartaya, known as The Goddess of Cuba, responded Monday to those who criticized her for waving a US flag at the Miami Baseball Classic.
Through her social media, the artist shared a powerful message, affirming her support for the nation that opened the doors to her.
“Why didn’t he have a Cuban flag? Because this group of Aries who remain silent and scoff when yelled at Patria y Vida for eating minced tripe and entering Cuba with a delicious loss for their boss doesn’t represent me,” the artist wrote.
“They are cowards and anyone who doesn’t even realize that things are so clear, or god or devil,” said the singer, who attended the game between Cuba and the United States this Sunday.
“Today I am a free woman and I do what I want and absolutely nobody can stop me. I want the freedom of my Cubans forever and the end of divided families,” she said.
The goddess of Cuba pointed out that “Cubans deserve to live happily like an American or any other person in this world.”
“Right now I can only say that the United States smiled back at me and Cuba, those who govern it, only made me cry, for that I proudly raise this flag, this is my story and every Cuban has his story to defend “, he said .
Before the end, the singer celebrated appearing on Cuban television during the game with a poster demanding freedom for the island.
“I showed the poster on TV and assumed my father was uncensored,” he concluded.
Hours earlier, the artist shared images of herself with the Patria y Vida message on her face and explained why she painted the phrase on her skin.
“I have only one concept, make no mistake Cubans, let’s see things as they are, here they reject everyone who has home and signs of life and I had to put it on my face, everything was messed up for a long time” , he said on their social networks.
“I had to leave my country because of him, and whoever supports that is also guilty,” emphasized the singer, who thanks to the Biden government’s decision on March 6,
The goddess has made it clear that despite leaving a brother there, she has no intention of ever returning to Cuba.
“That person who runs there for a year and a day, no, you don’t see the goddess in that,” the interpreter of “The 40 Pound Papaya” said in her first interview in La ciudad del Sol, which she conceded to the moderator Alexander Otaola, who also accompanied her this Sunday at the match between Cuba and the United States.
“I have no intention of ever returning to Cuba. I said it in Otaola and I say it here. I have nothing to do with this country anymore. I really suffered and ended this hell. All I ask of God is that he help me get ahead in the United States,” he said in another interview with journalist Enrique Santos.
