The Golden Knights pass

A goal from Nicolas Hague made the difference in the Golden Knights’ 4-3 win over the Edmonton Oilers in Las Vegas on Friday night.

This gives the Knights a 3-2 lead in the second-round series between these two teams. The Oilers are therefore threatened with elimination in the next game on Sunday.

This duel was broadcast on both TVA Sports and TVA Sports Direct. Watch the highlights of the meeting in the main video.

The Knights did the hardest work in the second period, trailing 2-1 early in the quarter and benefiting from quick goals from Mark Stone, Reilly Smith and Hague to take a 4-2 lead.

The second period ended in turmoil as Knights winger Keegan Kolesar received a five-minute penalty before being sent out after a dangerous check on Oilers guard Mattias Ekholm.

Stunned, Ekholm got up and stayed in the game, but the pressure was on Vegas as the Oilers’ dangerous power play was to unfold over five long minutes.

Edmonton benefited a little when Connor McDavid scored a spectacular goal in the top third. However, the Knights shut the door after that, especially late in the game when the Oilers pushed them to the limit.

Jack Eichel also scored a goal in the win. The Oilers’ other two goals, scored in the first third, came from McDavid and Zach Hyman.

Adin Hill looked good in front of the Knights’ net, stopping 31 pucks. At the other end of the hall, Stuart Skinner conceded four goals on 22 shots before giving up to Jack Campbell, who made nine saves to close the game.
