Before Game 1 of the World Series in Arlington, Texas, I walked across the field during both teams’ batting practice. The atmosphere was relaxed and the players had fun between their swings. It doesn’t matter if they are newbies or veterans, they cherish this moment because for some, this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity may never be experienced again.

Before the game, I met one of the key players in that World Series, Max Scherzer, who was accompanied by former Expos pitcher and current Rangers pitching coach Mike Maddux.

On the way to the ballpark, as you can see in the photo, I passed the home stadium of the Dallas Cowboys, which is right next to the home stadium of the Rangers.
