They find the missing couple dead and gunshot wounds in Granada. The bodies were found by the Civil Guard in a field on their property in Orce
The Civil Guard are trying to clear up the discovery of the bodies of a 60-year-old couple and their brother on Saturday at a farm in the city of Orce, north of the province of Granada. The three bodies had gunshot wounds from a shotgun that was next to the bodies.
While awaiting the results of the autopsies of the three deceased, which will allow us to determine when the event took place, the agents are investigating the causes of the numerous crimes, according to Civil Guard sources. The main hypothesis for now is that it was the brother of the man in the marriage who allegedly killed the couple with the shotgun and later committed suicide with it.
According to the first clues, the brother entered the family farmhouse, located in the area known as Los Aros in Orce, and shot dead the couple Antonio Burgos and María José García. Shortly thereafter, half a kilometer from the farmhouse, the alleged perpetrator took his own life with the same gun. The body had a shot in the head, according to investigative sources.
The previous hypotheses point to an economic motive as a possible cause. Relatives of the victims told investigators that the couple and his brother did not have a good relationship.
The three were well known in the town, and although the couple did not live in Orce, a parish of just over a thousand people, he visited them frequently and stayed at the farmhouse where the events took place, performing various fieldwork tasks .
The couple had been missing since last Wednesday, November 30, according to the complaint that the family had formalized and that SOS Desaparecidos had spread through social networks. Three days after the alarm was sounded, local police reported the location of the couple’s lifeless bodies on the farm they owned in the township of Orce. Local agents said in a release on their Twitter account that the couple was last seen in the capital, Granada, last Wednesday. His relatives reported that they may have been in his vehicle, a black Honda, to help locate Malaga or the towns of Las Gabias and Orce.
