This Tuesday, several members of the Civil Guard’s Underwater Activities Task Force (GEAS) found the body of Luis Steven, a 29-year-old man who disappeared on Sunday while bathing in the Tagus River, in the resort area of the Madrid city of Los Villares away and known as Estremera Beach. The body was found 200 meters from where she disappeared and found by divers, the command reports.
On the day of the disappearance, Steven was taking a bath with a friend when he went missing around 1:30 p.m. The search for the missing person began on Sunday and work has been complicated by the murky condition of the water and lush vegetation lining the riverbank. Estremera Beach or Los Villares Beach is about 70 kilometers from Madrid and is one of the five bathing areas in the region.
Members of the Civil Guard Air Service, Citizen Security Patrols, divers, the Canine Service with remains search dogs, the Fire Brigade teams working with water agents and the Drone Unit participated in the search device; Summa112 and forest officials of the Autonomous Community of Madrid.
