A set of guest hosts for the Wendy Williams Show was announced on Tuesday, after the show ended last month amid the ongoing battle for Williams’ health.
The show said Kim Whitley and Phineas Mitchell will host the week from March 7 to March 11; Fat Joe and Remy Ma will host from March 14 to March 18; and Carson Armchairs and Vivica A. Fox will host from March 28 to April 1.
Sherri Shepherd, who is set to launch her daily Sherri show this fall in the previous Williams time interval, will host the week from March 21 to March 25. Deadline reported.
The latest: A group of guest hosts for the Wendy Williams Show were named on Tuesday after the show ended last month amid the ongoing battle for Williams’ health. The 57-year-old Williams was portrayed in 2020, appearing in Watch What Happens Live
In the absence of Williams, Shepard and Michael Rapaport were the host hosts, but Rapaport is busy with projects, including Amy Schumer’s series Hulu Life & Beth; and the Hulu show Only Murders in the Building with Steve Martin, Martin Short and Selena Gomez.
Williams has not hosted the show this year as she struggles with health issues related to her battle with Graves’ disease.
Williams spokesman Howard Bragman said last month that the 57-year-old veteran presenter agreed with the decisions that brought her show to an end.
“She, more than anyone else, understands the reality of syndicated television – you can’t go to the market and sell a show that’s a Wendy show,” Bragman said.
Sherri Shepherd, who will launch her daily Sherri show this fall in the previous Williams time interval, will host the week from March 21 to March 25.

He continued: “She understands why this decision was made from a business point of view and she was convinced by Debmar-Mercury that if her health reaches a point where she can be a host again and if she wants to be a host again she he would be back on television at that time.
Bragman added: “It was a challenge for Wendy as she dealt with her health issues. She is incredibly grateful to Debmar-Mercury, Sherry and everyone else who supported the show during that time.
On February 22, Williams subsequently posted a text on Instagram Stories that read: “Mr. Brahman: Although I appreciate your concerns and respect you very much, I have not authorized you to make statements on my behalf about my current status with Debmar-Mercury. Thanks again for your continued concern and support. ‘

Shepard acknowledged Williams’ past work, announcing that she was taking over last week, saying “no one can replace the queen.”
Shepard said while hosting the show: “I’m debuting in September with my own talk show, Sherry! I’m so excited because when I started in this business, I always wanted to do a talk show, even before I joined The View in 2007.
“We will have a lot of fun, we will laugh a lot, we will have a lot of joy.”
