The HBO Max Movie Magic Mikes Last Dance is hitting

The HBO Max Movie Magic Mike’s Last Dance is hitting theaters and pinning its release in Winter 2023

EXCLUSIVE: Consistent with Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav’s belief that films are meant for theatrical releases, not streaming, the Steven Soderbergh-originally directed HBO Max three-some Magic Mike’s Last Dance comes February 10, 2023 – the Super Bowl weekend – in theaters. Warner Bros. had already set the date in the release calendar.

There’s a window between cinema and HBO Max, with PVOD in between I understand.

Magic Mike’s Last Dance star Channing Tatum has had a slew of films starting in the Valentine’s Corridor and mid-February, including this year’s Dog, which at 4.1x had a massive, unprecedented multiple, with 14.9 million US Dollar started and ended at 61.8M. Tatum’s The Vow was a smash hit in 2012, opening at $41.2 million and ending at $125 million domestically, just under $200 million WW.

Both Magic Mike and Magic Mike XXL have combined to gross $285.6 million at the worldwide box office.

The franchise spawned the hit stage show Magic Mike Live. It started in Las Vegas and quickly expanded internationally to London, Berlin and Australia as well as the States. I heard there are events planned around Magic’s Mike Last Dance. The threesome also stars Salma Hayek, Caitlin Gerard and Gavin Spokes. Reid Carolin wrote the screenplay. Gregory Jacobs, who directed the 2015 hit Magic Mike XXL, returns to produce alongside Carolin, Nick Wechsler and Peter Kiernan.
