Stranded passengers reported sleeping at the airport and having to wait in line for hours trying to rebook their flights. Some said they had to wait several days for their checked bags.
Today’s ongoing travel chaos comes after angry passengers stranded at airports across the country cracked down on Transport Secretary Pete Buttigieg for failing to fix the airline industry.
But Buttigieg doesn’t seem concerned about how struggling airlines plan to improve. Instead, he said Sunday morning he was focused on making sure US airlines stay on track over the holiday, as he warned “severe weather” would result in even more delays and cancellations.
