The hug between Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd at Comic Con in New York | Flashes

Actors Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd, protagonists of the famous 1985 film Back to the Future, met again on Monday at Comic Con in New York, a major event dedicated to comics, graphic novels and video games. In the film, Fox and Lloyd respectively played young Marty McFly, a 1980s boy who happens to end up in the 1950s, and scientist and inventor Emmett “Doc” Brown, his friend and fellow adventurer. During the event, the two greeted each other with a long hug before a big round of applause from the audience.

Directed by American director Robert Zemeckis, who co-wrote the screenplay with Bob Gale, Back to the Future was a smash hit: along with its two sequels, released in 1989 and 1990 respectively, it remains one of Science’s most popular films to this day -Fiction saga by the public today. Lloyd, now 83, has acted in more than 100 plays and dozens of television series and films over the past fifty years. Fox, on the other hand, turned 61 last June: in 1991, at the age of 29, he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, which led to him playing less and less. Prior to Monday, the two had met publicly on several occasions, including celebrating the film’s 35th anniversary during a Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research charity event.
