A tanker full of fuel has caused an impressive fire in a city in central Mexico. At least 1,500 people had to be evacuated.

A tanker truck loaded with fuel crashed into an overpass near a railroad track in Aguascalientes, a city in central Mexico, on Thursday, hitting a train and causing a major fire in Aguascalientes, a city in central Mexico, Portal reports. Photos and videos of the blaze were shared widely on social media.
The footage shows a burning train driving through the Mexican city, releasing an impressive plume of black smoke. On others, a fire hits train tracks near apartment buildings.
Another video shows flames level with a bridge, while an explosion and sirens sound in the heart of the city.
The arrested driver
The circumstances of the accident are currently uncertain. Initial information is that a fuel truck has hit a train, but Portal confirms this Friday that the vehicle crashed into an overpass.
The governor of the state of Aguascalientes, Tere Jiménez, tweeted that she had “issued precise instructions to state security and civil protection companies” to ensure the protection of “the integrity of the citizens and the heritage” of the city.
According to the local fire chief, the driver of the truck was also arrested by police, Portal reports.
1500 people evacuated
The impressive incident did not claim any lives, but around 1,500 people had to be evacuated, it is said CNN Spanish this Friday.
According to a preliminary report, about 120 households were affected by the incident and three people were hospitalized with smoke inhalation.
Rescue teams, the Mexican Army and the National Guard are on site to conduct surveillance and clean-up operations.
