The XXIV FIART 2022 International Crafts Fair will extend its exhibition and trade dates at the capital’s headquarters at the Line Cultural Station, its organizing committee announced today.
In its twenty-fourth edition, the meeting brings together the work of designers from the largest of the Antilles, as well as artisan productions from nine countries, spread over almost 300 exhibition sites.
With a representation of national creators and foreign exhibitors, the event opens its doors until December 28th at the usual time to meet the general public’s desire.
Characterized by the heterogeneous confluence of generations and artistic expressions, the exhibition takes place under the organization of the Cuban Fund for Cultural Heritage (FCBC) and seeks to become “an aesthetic compass for the country”, with innovative utensils, products and clothing appropriate to the weather conditions the island.
Of particular note is the Telarte initiative, which promotes the use of plastic art in textile prints, extending their existence beyond galleries and museums while being part of everyday objects of great aesthetic value.
Considered the most important commercial exhibition center of its kind in Cuba and the Caribbean, Fiart hosts productions from Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Spain, India, Mexico, Panama, Peru and Russia, as well as from all Cuban provinces, institutions and the foreign-governmental sector.
