The iPhone 15 Pro could be a powerhouse, powered by the new Clubic A17 processor

The A17 Bionic processor would be the first chip engraved in 3nm by TSMC, Apple’s historic subcontractor for manufacturing its mobile chips. This engraving finesse would offer the iPhone 15 Pro a real performance boost after tentative developments in this area over the past year.

The A17 Bionic would also be a chip that consumes much less energy, giving the smartphone better autonomy and possibly several hours more activity compared to the iPhone 14 Pro, already very good in this area. iOS 17 should obviously take advantage of this new processor and be optimized to deliver the maximum performance while relieving the battery.

Apple is also working on its own 5G modem, engraved in 4nm to once again optimize energy consumption. The latter shouldn’t arrive before 2024 and won’t be on the menu of this future iPhone 15 Pro.

For Apple, ahead of the launch of its M3 desktop chip, the A17 Bionic would finally be a demonstration of its advancement in processor design. In all likelihood, this next processor could also be engraved in 3nm to significantly increase the performance and autonomy of equipped MacBooks.
