During a patrol “in the Har Dov sector,” Israeli soldiers discovered a terrorist cell that crossed into Israeli territory from Lebanon and “opened fire on them.” In response, Israeli soldiers killed “four terrorists,” according to the army statement.

Har Dov is the Israeli name for the Shebaa Farms, a disputed border area.

Since the beginning of the war between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip, which was triggered on October 7 after an attack by the Palestinian Islamist movement on Israeli soil, there have been daily exchanges of fire on the border between the Israeli army and Hezbollah. Hamas ally.

According to an AFP count, border violence in Lebanon has killed 190 people in more than three months, including at least 141 Hezbollah fighters. The Israeli army has counted the deaths of at least 13 Israelis, including nine soldiers.
