UN concerned about “war crimes” committed.
The UN expressed concern on Friday that “war crimes” have been and are still being committed in the conflict between Israel and the Islamist movement Hamas. “We are concerned about the collective punishment imposed on the residents of the Gaza Strip in response to Hamas’s atrocious attacks, which also constitute war crimes,” Ravina Shamdasani, spokeswoman for the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, said during the regular UN briefing in Geneva.

The ICRC is sending a war surgical team and medical supplies to Gaza
A war surgical team and a weapons contamination specialist are among 10 experts from the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) who arrived in Gaza on Friday, along with six ICRC trucks carrying medical equipment and urgently needed water treatment products, the humanitarian organization said in a statement Press release from Friday. The delivery includes wartime surgical kits capable of treating between 1,000 and 5,000 people, depending on the severity of their injuries.
“This crucial humanitarian assistance is a small relief, but it is not enough. Our surgical team and medical support will help alleviate the extreme pressure on doctors and nurses in the Gaza Strip. However, safe and sustainable humanitarian access is urgently needed. This humanitarian catastrophe is getting worse by the hour,” emphasizes Fabrizio Carboni, ICRC Regional Director for the Near and Middle East.

Drone injures six people in Egyptian border town
The Egyptian army said six people were injured when a drone crashed into the Egyptian city of Taba on the border with Israel early Friday. The desert peninsula of Sinai borders the Gaza Strip at its northwestern tip and borders Israel to the east.
Egypt, historic mediator between Palestinians and Israelis and the only gateway to the world from Gaza that is not in Israel’s hands, has been on the front lines since October 7th. On Sunday, the Israeli army announced that it had “mistakenly” fired one of its tanks at an Egyptian position on the edge of the Gaza Strip. Egypt reported the incident and the Israeli army’s apology and reported “minor injuries” in its ranks.

57 UN staff members dead in Gaza
Since the beginning of the war between Israel and the Palestinian Islamist movement Hamas, 57 employees of the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA) have been killed in the Gaza Strip. UNRWA chief Philippe Lazzarini confirmed this figure during a press conference in Jerusalem.
The UNRWA chief also warned of the consequences of water, food and fuel cuts imposed by Israel in Gaza. “Basic services are collapsing, medicines are running out, food and water are running out. People are dying in Gaza as we speak, not just from bombs and attacks, but many more will soon die as a result of the siege of Gaza.

The Israeli army invades the Gaza Strip
The Israeli army announced on Friday morning that its infantry, supported by “hunters and drones,” had once again carried out a “targeted raid in the central sector of the Gaza Strip” against Hamas targets.
The soldiers then left the Palestinian territory without reporting any injuries, the army said in a statement. Rocket injures six people in Egyptian border town
Media and witnesses reported that six people were injured in a rocket attack overnight in Taba, an Egyptian city on the border with Israel. “As part of the current escalation in Gaza, a rocket crashed in Taba, slightly injuring six people and damaging a residential building,” reports AlQahera News, a television channel close to Egyptian intelligence. Witnesses confirmed to AFP that the bombing hit a hospital annex in this Red Sea city, which lies at the northeastern tip of Sinai and is home to a border crossing into Israel.
Images shared on local media and social networks show a damaged building and several blown-up vehicles in the area.
