The Jets are no match for the Dolphins

The Miami Dolphins won the first Black Friday game in NFL history by dominating the New York Jets 34-13 at MetLife Stadium on Friday.

The winning defense allowed the crowd-favorite offense to score just one touchdown and score one. On the last play of the first half, the Jets attempted an “Ave Maria.” However, the ball was intercepted by Jevon Holland and returned 99 yards for the Major.

On offense for the Dolphins, quarterback Tua Tagovailoa completed 21 of 30 attempted passes for 243 yards and a touchdown. He was also the victim of two steals, one of which resulted in one of the Jets’ two wins.

Pass receivers Jaylen Waddle and Tyreek Hill had a productive day. They totaled 114 and 102 yards, respectively. This also applied to running back Raheem Mostert, who crossed the goal line twice.

It was quarterback Tim Boyle’s first start for the Jets. He was chosen over Zach Wilson after the latter’s recent lack of success. The freshman behind center completed 27 passes on 38 attempts for 179 yards and a touchdown. He also threw two interceptions and had seven sacks.

The Big Apple club has suffered defeats in its last four games and now has a record of 4-7. The Dolphins, for their part, recorded their second win in a row. With a record of 8-3, they are still at the top of the Americans’ East Division.
