The judge, deducting half a point from the Fantasias do Império Serrano, noted that “there was no uniformity in the way of conducting the allegory by hand” Carnavalesco

In an unfair relegation to the special group, Império Serrano received unacceptable marks in the costumes category. The greenwhite team from Serrinha presented a reasonable set but was demoted by the league judges. The association received the following grades: 9.5, 9.7 and two grades of 9.8.

Judge Regina Lima awarded 9.5 and reasoned: “In my field of vision I found: Station 01: There was no uniform way of performing the allegory of the hand. Some members took the allegory with both hands, others with the left hand, others with the right hand. The optics of the wing were compromised, the allegories prevented the development of the components as some collided with others; (Uniformity); Stations 08, 18 and 19: as for station 01 (uniformity); Station 12: The beer glasses of several hats were tilted backwards (finishing); Wing 02: Baianas of longer than traditional length, showing the members’ legs, contrary to the description in Abrealas, page 32: ‘with a costume that unites the Bahian tradition of dress…’ (conception); Stations 05 and 06: members with loose leg accessories, some members dragged them (completion); Station 28: The same problems occurred as in stations 05 and 06; Pom poms were missing (completion); Wing 17: several skirts showing the lining, argnate, with few ties, fabric used did not fit well (loss in conception and execution). There were four completions in total (wings 04, 05, 06, 12 and 28); four cases of uniformity (wards 01, 08, 18 and 19); evaluation of eight ongoing events; Consistency: Stations 01, 08, 18 and 19; two occurrences at conception on Ward 02 and 17. With a discount of 0.2 at conception and 0.3 at realization. Ratification: 4.7 in implementation and 4.8 in design; A total of 0.5.”

Judge Wagner Louza awarded 9.7 and said: “Conception: 5.0. Performance: 4.7. In Wards 05, 06, 07, 09, 14 and 26 there was a repeat of the plastic solution for the costumes, all of which had very similar coasters which were round and covered with similar feathers, the only difference being the colour. These wings had a low aesthetic quality. In wing 05 the symbology of “orange pomace” was not very clear, in the coastal wing there was a shape resembling a sunflower, which made it difficult to read. In Wing 12, the headgear was not well executed and the poor build quality affected the display of “Beer Foam”. In wing 14, the depiction of the “moon” was not emphasized, which affects legibility. In Ward 18, most of the “hearts” were smashed. In wing 29, with the movement of the overskirt, the image of Dona Ivone Lara was often hidden.

Judge Sérgio Henrique gave a score of 9.8, stating: “Conception: Wings 4 and 12 were the lack of appropriateness of the theme. Wings 5, 6 and 8 had no meaning for the honoree, which made it difficult to understand. Performance: Station 18 was missing fabric from waist to floor. Wings 5, 6 and 20: poor finishes in the coastal areas, resulting in a lack of aesthetic care. Wing 29: covered the face of the honoree”.

The judge Paulo Paradela awarded 9.8 and mentioned: “Achievement (0.2). Wing 02: In some Bahia elements from the rear coast area fell apart or became out of place. Station 06: Although the head making up the costume did not appear to be heavy, several components held it up, demonstrating a problem with the design of the solution adopted, proportionality or size. Wing 09 and 14: Finishing issues on the back of the shoreline in both wings. In addition to the lack of any major aesthetic refinement, the presented finish was discolored or featured some washes in some components of the wings. Wing 18: The heart that formed the front and rear of the shoreline was damaged in most of the components of the wing.”
