The Kremlin regime could lose between $10 billion and $25 billion if the sixth set of EU sanctions are introduced.
That’s what Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said at a government meeting on Tuesday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“We are grateful to our European partners for being able to reach consensus and agree on the sixth package of sanctions against Russia, which includes a partial oil embargo. The Kremlin regime could lose $10-25 billion from this decision, and that will further deprive it of the ability to fund its war against Ukraine and across Europe,” Schmyhal said.

PM spoke this week about progress in three strategic areas: arms, finance and sanctions. “We’re doing everything we can to bring victory closer. Despite the incredible challenges, Ukraine will definitely win,” stressed the Prime Minister.
On February 24, the Russian Federation launched a new phase of the war against Ukraine – a full-scale invasion. Russian occupiers have shelled and bombed peaceful towns and villages in Ukraine, torturing and killing civilians. The Ukrainian defense forces are fiercely defending themselves against the Russian attack.
European Union leaders have agreed on the sixth package of sanctions against the Russian Federation, including a partial embargo on oil exports and the separation of Sberbank from SWIFT.
