A Los Angeles attorney is accused of squandering $10.2 million in company funds on her own “extravagant lifestyle” — which included a six-month gambling frenzy at the Wynn in Las Vegas.

Sara Jacqueline King is being sued for the full amount by her former employer, UK-based lender LDR International – although the Newport Beach solicitor claims she now has just $11.98 in her name after filing with the partying hard at $300 a year. night hotel.

The 33-page lawsuit alleges King’s federal fraud and was filed in California Central District Court on Saturday.

It includes allegations of breach of contract, fraud and civil theft, as well as a series of photos that lawyers for King’s lending company sent to inspire confidence in their high-profile connections.

One such photo shows the young attorney posing with notable NFL stars Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady, Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen at The Match, a high-profile golf event held at the Wynn last summer. Another shows King’s nearly empty bank accounts.

LDR’s attorneys also included emails and correspondence from King attempting to justify the 97 loans granted from January 2022 to October 2022.

King worked as an agent for LDR, arranging loans to high profile clients in the United States.

According to the lawsuit, the company made loans to the attorney’s lending service — which bears her name.

Those loans were intended for third parties — high-profile stars whom the attorney said she was chasing — and were secured by various types of King collateral, including but not limited to luxury cars, boats, yachts, jewelry, watches, bullion coins, and the proceeds from guaranteed sports contracts.

In reality, however, the lawsuit states that no such security was ever posted — and, as a further step, that King fabricated the entire existence of the third-party borrowers and the multiple six-figure deals associated with them.

The lawsuit alleges that King instead moved to the Wynn in Las Vegas for six months — where she allegedly “gambled around the clock.”
