The Peruvian Isabella Merced continues to integrate into large international projects. This time the actress joined the cast of the second season “The last of us”where she will play “Dina,” Ellie’s (Bella Ramsey) new romantic interest and Jesse’s ex-partner.
“Dina is warm, bright, fierce, funny, moral, dangerous and instantly lovable,” confirmed Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann, co-creators, writers, executive producers and directors of The Last of Us.
“You can look forever for an actor who can effortlessly embody all of these things, or you can find Isabela Merced right away. “We couldn’t be prouder to have her in our family,” they added.
Isabela Merced thus completes the three important additions for the second season of the post-apocalyptic series based on the video game of the same name developed by Naughty Dog for PlayStation.

As Deadline revealed, the second season will be filmed in Vancouver, as an important part of the story of the video game The Last of Us Part II takes place in the Pacific Northwest. Production on the series, a co-production between HBO and Sony Pictures Television, will begin in February.
