It looks like WhatsApp will finally allow users to change the main appearance of the app. As WABetaInfo reports, there is a new feature in the beta version of iOS 24.1.10.70 that is not yet available to regular beta testers. Instead, it was discovered through submission to the TestFlight beta program with TestFlight build 24.1.10.
Still, the screenshot shared by WABetaInfo shows that users can select colors from a palette to customize UI elements within the app. The previous WhatsApp beta update with version 23.21.1.70 resulted in a green tint that the beta testers didn't like.
WhatsApp has apparently taken feedback from beta testers into account, which likely led to it introducing options to customize the main branding color. The new feature allows users to choose a theme color from five options, paving the way for experimentation to find the color that works best.
There is no official information about when this feature of WhatsApp will come to the stable version. The update should be available to beta testers soon. The messaging app is also working on introducing several other features, including a filter for group chats, the ability to search by username, a music sharing feature for video calls, and more. and even more.
