“Avatar: The Way of Water”, the second installment in a saga of films already predicted to be a success, as at least five more films have been confirmed to direct the acclaimed director JamesCameron. At the time of writing this note, this production has already grossed more than $1.7 billion worldwide, which is included in the list of the most valuable in the history of cinema, as it is the seventh highest grossing in history and will reach more.
Given the numbers and the success, it might seem like a tiny detail, but it’s not as one of the actresses who is an integral part of the cast is very used to success and has been in not just one but four of the 10 highest-grossing films in film history. Best of all, it has Latin origins, we’re talking more or less than Zoe Saldanaborn in New Jersey but to a Puerto Rican mother and Dominican father.
Zoe Saldana
success factor
The 44-year-old actress took part in: “avatar” (2009) in her account of Neytiri Omaticaya, “Avengers: Endgame” (2019) as Namora”,Avengers: Infinity War” (2018) in the same role; Up until then there had only been three productions that had Saldaña as a factor in its success, but the box office success of “Avatar: the Path of Water” added another title.
Zoe’s credits include Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (2003), Road to Fame (2000), and Star Trek (2008). She speaks Spanish very well because, in addition to practicing at home with her parents, she moved to the Dominican Republic at the age of nine, a country where she studied dance, another of her great passions.
Avatar continues
And apparently the success for Zoe Saldaña will not stop there, since it has been confirmed that the third part of Avatar will be released by 2024, Cameron has already confirmed that the scenes were shot at the same time as “El camino del agua”, located but in the post-production phase, which ensures the premiere in December 2024.
Among other things, what stands out from the third film and said by the Oscar winner himself, there will be a plot twist and now it will be the same Na’vi tribe that will bring forth the villains, that is, they will no longer be human.
