After losing to the school club the Maple Leafs for the fifth time in 2022/23 on Friday, Jean-François Houle’s side retaliated with an excellent top 20 for Jean-François Houle’s side.

Limited to 21 games since the start of the season due to injury, defender Madison Bowey opened the scoring after just 11-1, his precise shot into the top corner giving Keith Petruzzelli no chance.

Pierrick Dubé and Peter Abbandonato were named the game’s first and second stars respectively thanks to their two-point performance, then making it 3-0.

After a reply from Bobby McMann in outnumbered form, Quebec forward Brandon Gignac restored a three-goal lead for his team early in the middle third by capitalizing on a poor return after the Marlies goaltender’s throw. Gabriel Bourque then added a goal by deflecting a shot from Abbandonato.

Acquired by the Colorado Avalanche in December, veteran Dryden Hunt put his mustard in ahead of the second break. It is his first goal in the American Hockey League since February 16, 2020.

In a losing game late in the duel, McMann rattled the ropes behind Cayden Primeau for a second time.

Alex Belzile and Jesse Ylönen enriched the brand in an empty cage. The Finnish winger also collected two assists.

The Rocket will be on a six-day hiatus before Friday’s Syracuse Crunch.

Until then, the Montreal Canadiens-affiliated team will host the Classique des étoiles at the Place Bell on Sunday and Monday. Anthony Richard and Belzile will represent the rocket.
