The Legault government wages war on public transport –

There is no “war on the car” being waged, but rather a war on public transport.

We would like to discourage all Quebecers from using public transportation, we wouldn’t do it otherwise.

Another great week looking out over the highway tunnel from the CAQ.

Dog meat

The Minister of Transport Geneviève Guilbault is currently taking on the role of Séraphin.

“Public transport was too expensive, dog food!”

Within five years, public transport companies will have a deficit of 2.5 billion due to the decline in passengers.

Ms. Guilbault only wants to pay 20% of the bill. Chick.

“Optimization,” she hopes, for the transport companies.

To put it bluntly: cuts, fewer offers, fewer frequencies, fewer interviews and so on.

A death spiral, as some have mentioned.

Ridiculously anti-modern situation: We are neither improving public transport nor maintaining it at all.

We are the lesser evil.

The tram, an idea that has been around for 45 years!

How can a by-election lead to so many sudden and counterproductive distortions in government discourse on such an important project?

A referendum on this would be as ridiculous as it would be impractical.

It’s called “finishing a project without getting tired.”

Quebec City, second metropolis? To stop.

In their opinion, the city of Quebec is a small dominion of a large village, namely Quebec.

The same fate befell the REM de l’Est, which returned to first place, other false hopes for the East of Montreal, which must continue to think small.

solvency

Even more ridiculous is the caricatured rhetoric about “taxpayers’ ability to pay.”

Ridiculous, misleading concept that reveals a real government ideology that goes beyond “We like public transportation.”

Have we questioned this “solvency” of Northvolt? General Motors? The new dams? The new-old-new third link? The tax cut? Checks sent?

But for public transport and public servants, oh yeah.
