They found them in the forest, they couldn’t have done it on their own when they were so small. And so the wildlife center Il Pettirosso di Modena takes care of them while they wait for them to grow up. But the squirrel did not eat, “we thought if he had company it would be better. We had a little dormouse, he too was looking for affection, we brought them together: and the squirrel started eating again,” says the owner of the center Piero Milani. The video of their hug, posted on the Il Pettirosso center’s Facebook page, went viral. The squirrel will live by day and the dormouse by night, they will part: but now they are an affectionate pair
