The Logies ceremony gains solid ratings for Channel Nine – but still falls short of previous viewership

The Logies are back and almost better than ever.

After a two-year hiatus due to Covid lockdowns, the glitz and glamor was in full swing on Sunday night.

Channel Nine pulled in solid ratings for both the televised red carpet arrival and the ceremony.

The 62nd TV Week Logies Awards Arrivals attracted 826,000 viewers across the city’s five metro ratings.

It was another boost for the 62nd TV Week Logies Awards, which drew a whopping 885,000 viewers across the five major cities.

Overall, Logies coverage for the evening was ranked third, behind Channel Seven’s and Channel Nine’s Nightly New for the evening.

Although the numbers were good, the Logies drew less attention than in previous years.

A whopping 1.18 million viewers across the country watched the event in 2019, up from the previous year.

In 2018, a comfortable 1.15 million switched on the Logies.

However, compared to 2017 numbers, when 1.30 million players saw the awards, it was all downhill.

The show lasted a whopping four hours and ran 38 minutes overtime on Channel Nine.

Comedian Hamish Blake won the Gold Logies, his second after an earlier win in 2012.
