The Love Actually actress looks unrecognizable two decades after starring in the popular film

Heike Makatsch, who played Alan Rickman's lover Mia, now looks significantly different than in the hit film.

Love Actually was a box office sensation when it premiered in 2003, and the British romantic comedy has become a beloved Christmas classic in the two decades since.

And while many members of the ensemble went on to have Hollywood careers. Some stars, including Keira Knightley, are rarely seen in public.

Heike Makatsch, who played Alan Rickman's lover Mia, now looks significantly different than in the hit film. In the film, the seductress wears a short, choppy black bob.

These days, the now 52-year-old sports a longer, blonde hairstyle, meaning many don't even recognize her as the Love Actually star.

A memorable scene shows Makatsch's Mia and Rickman's character Henry at a Christmas party, where she wears a skimpy dress and devil horns to seduce him.

Henry gives Mia a locket before she replies, “I don’t want anything I need. I want something I want – something pretty.”

Heike – a German – has managed to keep a low profile despite starring in a number of hit films since Love Actually, including 2013's The Book Thief.

She is also a singer who has released hits like “Stand by Your Man” and “This Girl Was Made for Loving.”

She has also been a spokesperson for the cosmetics company L'Oréal since 2012.

Heike was with Daniel Craig from 1996 to 2004. The Berlin-based beauty is currently dating Trystan Pütte and has three daughters from previous relationships.

Heike can be seen in May this year. WireImage Hugh Grant in 2003's Love Actually.

Love Actually stars Emma Thompson and Grant reunited last month to discuss the legacy of British film at the event “The Laughs and Secrets of Love Actually: 20 Years Later – A Diane Sawyer Special.” .

Thompson, 63, revealed what Grant, 62, said to her during filming.

“Hugh came up behind me as we walked out and said, 'Is this the most psychotic thing we've ever experienced?' ” she recalled humorously.

“Did I say that?” the “Four Weddings and a Funeral” actor joked.

“[It’s about] “Love and all its messiness and its unexpectedness, because you find love in the strangest places,” Thompson explained of the popular flick.
