The making of Margot Robbies Chanel dress for the Golden

The making of Margot Robbie’s Chanel dress for the Golden Globes – Harper’s BAZAAR

The Golden Globes returned for 2023, kicking off Hollywood awards season, and celebrity fashion didn’t disappoint. The red carpet brought us plenty of stylish looks, from Anya Taylor-Joy in sun-kissed yellow Dior to Letitia Wright’s silky Prada design and, of course, Margot Robbie’s pretty pink Chanel moment.

The actress was one of the best dressed stars of the night; Her pale pink embellished fishtail dress featured an elegant halter neckline and delicate, frothy tulle. As you might expect, a dress with such attention to detail requires expert design and the finest craftsmanship to craft it, something Chanel delivers time and time again. Robbie’s Golden Globes dress took 750 hours to create, using around 30,000 embroidery elements such as sequins, beads and feathers.

“Haute couture in itself is an art form,” said the actress. “It has been such a privilege to be a Chanel Ambassador for the past five years and to truly see first hand the incredible craftsmanship that goes into these dresses. There is so much beautiful, handcrafted, intricate detail in this dress, I feel incredibly lucky to be wearing it tonight.”
