On Facebook he confided:
“MY FATHER IS DEAD.
THE MAN WHO ADOPTED ME IS NO MORE.
THE MAN WHO MAKES ME SUFFER SO MUCH IS NO MORE!
The man who scared me
is no longer. The man who rocked the house with his tantrums and words that hurt just as much is gone.
The man who took my beloved mother hostage and destroyed her from the inside is gone.
The man who pretended to be outwardly innocent while leading us through Hell in absolute secrecy is no more.
The man who picked me up from a host family and whose first horrible look literally grabbed me is no more.
I’ve waited 50 years for this man to repent. He wanted my forgiveness if
I just wanted him to ask my forgiveness by looking me straight in the eyes.
He left without having the courage to do so.
I wish he asks forgiveness from above and his journey goes smoothly. No one deserves to suffer on their final journey. Not even him, even if he made us suffer so much.
Today I will try to extract the smallest and most harmless memories so that my panicked soul can calm down. The fear that he would come and hurt me was always with me. Today I can hardly believe that it will go away with him. In his thundering rage there was pain, his own. Everyone has their suffering and bears their lot.
I wish my father would apologize to my mother and my sister Lyne for risking meeting them up there.
go in peace I offer you my forgiveness!!”
